More visible galley progress

We can really see how the galley will look and work.

The cooker box is ready for painting. It even has a sliding bolt to hold it steady when we don’t need it gimbled. We have stainless steel tubes coming to fit as sleeves to protect the wood from the pivot bolts.

We know how we are going to hold the hob down (in case of knockdown), and we have a plan for pan clamps.

The fiddles are ready to be glued.

Sinks reconnected to the bucket for boatyard use.

I need to build the cupboard in the corner by the steering gearbox.

Bottom shelf/floor under the sinks to be done.

Inboard end to the shelves to be done.

Build storage under the cooker box, and a worktop behind.

Make an outboard cupboard and shelf under the side deck for the extension worktop.

Xps insulation and headlining under the side deck.

Then epoxy coat and paint. The worktops will be covered with food safe epoxy.

It sounds a lot but I really feel we are on the home stretch.

Galley overview. Worktops are going to be grey food safe epoxy. The rest will be painted using the same two colours as the hull. Ladder is a temporary one
Sinks, they will have chopping board tops that can be latched into place. Taps will come straight out of the bulkhead.
The galley extension. Drawers are underneath. Going to add a shelf with cupboard front under the side deck.
The pipe is for the Ecor Dryboat dehumidifier which will act as an extractor. We need to keep maintenance access to the steering gearbox when building the cupboard in this corner.
Temporary boatyard plumbing. Drains will go directly aft, through the bulkhead into a greywater tank.
Induction hob showing the top ventilation for the combination microwave oven (we will have a mat to catch spills when not using the oven or grill)
